The valve body is made of WCB carbon steel (ASTM A216 standard), the stem is made of alloy structural steel, and the sealing surface is hard alloy weld overlay. It features a rising stem design (the stem rises and falls with the opening and closing action), a blue three-spoke handwheel at the top, and ANSI B16.5 standard flange connections at both ends. Production Process
Valve Body Casting
WCB carbon steel is cast using sand casting and then annealed to relieve internal stress.

Machining
The valve body flow channel and flange sealing surface are machined on a CNC lathe, and the sealing surfaces of the gate/seat are machined on a milling machine.

Sealing Surface Treatment
Hard alloy (such as Stellite alloy) is welded onto the gate and valve seat, and then ground to a high-precision fit.

Assembly
The gate, valve stem, packing, and valve cover are assembled sequentially. After tightening the bolts, the handwheel opening and closing torque is adjusted.

Inspection
Pressure tests (shell test and sealing test) are performed to ensure no leakage before spraying anti-corrosion paint, marking, and warehousing.

Routine Maintenance
Routine Inspection
Weekly check valve stem for rust, ensure smooth handwheel operation, and record valve opening and closing status;
Packing Maintenance
Inspect the stuffing box every 3 months. If minor leakage is found, tighten the packing gland bolts appropriately;
Sealing Surface Inspection
Disassemble the valve cover annually to inspect the wear of the gate/seat sealing surfaces. If wear is severe, grind or replace the valve;
Rust Prevention Treatment
For valves that have been out of service for a long period, close the valve and release the medium. Apply anti-rust grease to the valve stem and cover the handwheel with dust.
