Description

This range of ductile iron elbow pipe fittings is designed to change the flow direction within pipeline systems and is widely used in water supply, drainage, and industrial piping projects.

The product line includes several common configurations. 90-degree elbows are used for right-angle pipeline connections and are available with flange, socket, or restrained joint connections. 45-degree elbows provide smoother directional changes, helping to minimize flow resistance and pressure loss. For projects with special installation requirements, custom-angle elbows such as 30° and 60° can also be manufactured. In addition, flange-to-socket elbows are available to connect different types of piping systems efficiently.

All fittings are manufactured from QT450-10 ductile iron, offering excellent strength, durability, and impact resistance. To enhance corrosion protection and extend service life, the fittings can be supplied with epoxy powder coating, bitumen coating, or other protective finishes in blue, black, or customized colors.

The series covers sizes from DN50 to DN1200 and is available in pressure ratings of PN10, PN16, and PN25, making it suitable for a wide range of municipal, industrial, and infrastructure applications.

Maintenance Procedures

1. Inspect Seals on a Regular Basis
For flanged connections, check the condition of gaskets during routine maintenance. For socket-type joints, inspect rubber seals for signs of wear, deformation, or aging, and replace them if needed to maintain a reliable seal.

2. Maintain the Protective Coating
Any scratches, peeling, or coating damage should be addressed as soon as possible. Clean the affected area thoroughly and reapply a suitable anti-corrosion coating to prevent rust from spreading.

3. Prevent Build-Up Inside the Pipe
Sediment, scale, and other deposits can gradually reduce flow efficiency. Periodic internal inspections and cleaning will help keep the pipeline operating smoothly.

4. Check Connection Hardware
For flanged installations, inspect bolts and fasteners periodically to ensure they remain secure. Tightening loose components in time can help prevent leakage and maintain system stability.

5. Pay Attention to Buried Service Conditions
When elbows are installed underground, monitor surrounding soil conditions and signs of external corrosion. Additional protection may be considered in aggressive environments to improve long-term durability.
