Production Process
1. Raw material melting: Select high-quality pig iron, scrap steel, melt into molten iron above 1500℃, control composition strictly;
2. Spheroidization & inoculation: Add spheroidizing and inoculating agents to optimize material strength and toughness;
3. Casting forming: Sand casting per EN124 standard, cast at about 1400℃;
4. Post-treatment: Heat treat to relieve stress after cooling, finish machining, spray anti-corrosion coating;
5. Assembly & testing: Install hinges, seals, pass D400 load test for delivery.Heavy duty ductile iron manhole cover with hinged process is efficient and compliant.
Inspection Items
A. Material composition test: Confirm ductile iron meets GGG50/QT500-7 standard, with qualified carbon, silicon, magnesium content;
B. Dimensional accuracy test: Measure cover diameter, thickness, frame fit clearance, complying with EN 124 tolerance;
C. Mechanical performance test: Tensile strength ≥500MPa, elongation ≥7%, D400/E600/F900 class load test ;
D. Structural function test: Hinge opening angle (≥110°), locking reliability, seal ring waterproof/dustproof effect;
